A mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. They are sacred and beautiful and can be worn as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist multiple times. Malas are made with 108 beads and a guru bead. They can be made with fewer beads, such as 18, 27, or 54, which would require the user to make several rotations to complete their full meditation. The number 108 has spiritual significance as it is believed that we have 108 lines of energy in our bodies which converge to form the anahata, or the heart chakra.
These malas are made with 6mm Red Creek Jasper beads and a Red Creek Japser guru stone. Copper spacers are placed at the quarter points of the mala. They are 21" in length. There are two options with this mala:
Option 1) The silky luxe tassel is medium brown and 3.5" long. The mala is strung on indigo C-long thread.
Option 2) The silky luxe tassel is dark brown and 3.5" long. The mala is strung on forest green C-lon thread.
Red Creek Jasper is full of grounding Earth energy, helping you connect deeply to the vibrations of the Earth. It is a wonderful stone for helping you to understand the connection between humans and nature. It supports the Root and Sacral Chakras and is associated with Aries and Scorpio zodiac signs.
